Todays the Day

So I am sitting here in Midway airport in Chicago getting ready to fly to Detroit and from there I am off to Amsterdam where I meat up with Diana and Laura... which I am so very excited about! It hit me today that I really am going to Uganda, I got a little scared and even more nervous that before but I am so ready to be there already. I just wanted everyone to know how grateful and appreciative I am of all your support! 

9 Days and counting

So the time to get on the plane and head to Uganda is almost here and I could not be anymore excited, nervous, scared...basically I could not feel anymore emotion. I have been packing the last few days making sure that I had everything that I needed and I realized I am not quite as ready as I had thought but there is still time to get everything done. I got word that one of our friends that is already in Uganda sadly had her bag stolen which furthered my apprehension of my things being lost, stolen ect. but I know that it will all be fine. I wish it was time to go already, I just want to get over there and see everyone again. I finally think that my family is coming to grips with the fact that I am leaving in a few days for a few months, its finally here its no longer something that I just said I was going to do, its actually happening. So on that note I am going to go repack everything...again... 9 days and counting :)

My good friends leave tomorrow for Uganda, and I am so happy for them. What I am even more excited about is the fact that I am going to see them at the end of this month in Uganda as well. It is crazy to think the last time I saw these folks was in Chicago right before everyone left for the summer, and now I am going to be seeing them in Uganda.
